an altercation with which well-known rock star? BONUS: How many times has Marvy
been arrested?
4) On what Woodrow album cover has the quartet

5) In 1988, Toby was shot outside a gig at a roadhouse
in rural Wisconsin. Who was the would-be assassin?
6) Which Woodrow is a vegetarian?
7) Which band member released a solo record? What
was the title of the album? BONUS: Why was he arrested soon after the album
was released?
8) Which Woodrow ran for political office in the
late '80s? BONUS: On what platform did he run?
9) Who is the only unmarried member of the Woodrows?
BONUS: Who has sired the most offspring?
Answers:
1) Toby's short lived abstinence from drugs and
alcohol lasted approximately four hours. Friends close to the band say that
Toby never officially sobered up in the interim but no one could remember seeing
him physically drinking or doing drugs. The album that reflects his waning S.E.
philosophy was I'm Just Straight-Edge—Except for the Pills, I Need the
Pills, They're Prescription.
2) Erin has quite the band forty-three times in
twelve years. He quits annually on April 15th. The longest he has remained out
of the band is one hour—fifteen minutes of which the classic Woodrow album Fuck Erin was recorded.
3) In October of '87, Marvy was arrested at O'Hare
International Airport in Chicago for allegedly throwing a scone at recording
artist Bono, striking the singer in the back of the head and causing hin discomfort
for the duration of the flight. Marvy has been arrested twenty-seven times.
4) The Woodrows appear naked on the covers of "Naked", "Drunk & Naked", "Dead Drunk & Naked",
"Dead Drunk, Naked & Broke", "In the Drunk Tank Dead Drunk,
Naked & Broke", "Broke & Free, Dead Drunk Naked and Broke".
5) A disgruntled member from the rival rock band,
Bastard's Holiday, Billy Bastard, stalked the Woodrows on a thirty show, three
day Midwestern mini-tour. Claiming that the Woodrows ripped off his band's music
and lyrics as well as the band's image of being "booze guzzling, drug gobbling
heathens, indiscriminate in their choice of bedmates." Billy Bastard pumped
fifteen rounds into Toby's right buttock with a BB gun, which he had purchased
at a local Farm & Fleet only hours before the incident.
6) All of the Woodrows are vegetarians.
7) Marvy was the only band member to release a
solo record. The album was titleded Reflections and was a musical
autobiographical account of Marvy's life up to that point.
8) Ricky ran for mayor of Antigo, Wisconsin in
the 1990 election running on the Chemically Dependent & Physically Abusive
Freak Ticket. His stance on drugs and crime so frightened the population of
Antigo, that five times the number of registered voters cast their ballots against
him.
9) This one is kind of a trick question. Marvy
is the correct answer for the first part as well as the bonus question. He is
unmarried and has twelve known legal responsibilities nationwide.

LOCAL MUSICIAN SHOT
ANTIGO—There was a shocking moment for the local rock scene Friday as a result of a near fatal assassination attempt on the life of "punk" musician, Toby Woodrow, of the local "punk rock" group, The Woodrows. Rival musician, Billy Bastard (aka Charles Rappaport III) of the rock band, Bastard's Holiday, shot drummer Toby Woodrow outside the Cheese Shed, a roadhouse just outside of Antigo.
Bastard, disgruntled over the lack of success achieved by his own "rock outfit" and jealous of the attnetion the The Woodrows "rock unit" had been receiving, stalked the band on their 30 show, 3 day mini tour finally confronting the band outside the Cheese Shed after their "gig" there that evening. According to witnesses as the scene, Bastard called out to the band, "Hey Woodrow! seconds before the shooting occured. Ironically, "Hey Woodrow: is the title of an earlier Woodrow recording. It is reported that Bastard then pumped 15 rounds into Toby's left buttock with a high powered, pump action BB air rifle, purchased at a nearby Farm and Fleet just hours before the incident took place.
Woodrow was heard to comment, "Oh my ass" before passing out into the arms of his older brother, Ricky Woodrow. The younger Woodrow was then rushed to St. Luke's Hospital in a Chevy Chevette owned by one of the band's "groupies". At St. Luke's, Woodrow was treated for the wounds to his glutus maximus and released following morning.
Bastard remains at large and a source at the local police station reported to the Gazette that the police considered "going out and looking for him."
ALL IS FAIR IN LOVE & BINGO
MERRILL—Police were summoned to the Knights of Columbus Banquet Hall Thursday when the weekly Bingo Night got out of hand. A heated verbal dispute over who called "bingo" first soon escalated into violence when 70 year old, Esther Buntz, threw a cup of scalding hot cider in the face of 58 year old, Jackie "Pepper" Ronson. An enraged Ronson then shred Buntz's bingo cards and proceeded to stuff them, one by one, into Buntz's mouth. Father Donnelley quickly rushed to intervene in the melee before retaliation from rival bingo factions could ensue.
